How You Can Help
Run for Office: In 2025, Spokane County has 122 elections. School boards, library boards, water districts, and city councils are critical battlegrounds.
Many local positions need fresh perspectives. Training is available for anyone interested. Email Campaign Relations for details.Support Candidates: Volunteer teams are forming to assist candidates with campaign management, data, and fundraising. If you’re interested, email Campaign Relations.
Donate: Your contributions fuel our grassroots efforts, from candidate training to outreach. Every dollar makes a difference.
Volunteer: We’re hosting orientations in late January and early February. Join us and make your mark. Fill out the brief volunteer application, indicating your interests. If you have submitted one already, we will be calling every applicant in the next few weeks.
Together, we can ensure local government serves everyone, not just a select few. This work matters deeply to the future of Spokane County and beyond. There is no perfect time to stand up, but there are always people who choose to stand. Let’s be those people.
Volunteering at community events is a fun way to learn, meet local candidates and community members, and support Democrats.

Canvassing is one of the most effective ways to connect with voters, and we'd love for you to join us in getting out the vote!
Canvassing is important because it's one of the most direct and personal ways to engage with voters. Here are a few key reasons why it's so impactful:
Personal Connection: Face-to-face interactions build trust and allow voters to feel heard. Personal stories and conversations resonate more than ads or mailers.
Voter Turnout: Studies show that canvassing significantly boosts voter turnout. Engaging with voters at their doorstep reminds them to vote and can motivate undecided voters to participate.
Direct Feedback: It gives democrats a real-time pulse on voter concerns, priorities, and issues. Canvassers can gather insights that help shape messaging and strategy.
Persuasion: Meeting people where they live gives volunteers the chance to have meaningful, in-depth conversations that can sway undecided or disengaged voters.
Community Building: Canvassing strengthens relationships within the community, creating a sense of collective action and purpose.
By taking part in canvassing, you are helping to create a more engaged and informed electorate, which is crucial for the success of any campaign.
