2024 Initiatives
Four state initiatives on this year’s general election ballot. Each one would cut valuable programs that benefit Washington and Spokane County. Vote NO !
I-2109
No cuts to education. No cuts to childcare.
I-2109 repeals Washington state's limited capital gains excise tax, slashing over $2.2 billion from public education and childcare, and early learning in the next 5 years. It will give a tax cut to fewer than 4,000 of the wealthiest Washingtonians. Giving mega-millionaires, and billionaires, a tax cut will shift more tax pressure on the rest of us.

I-2117
A bad deal for Washington
I-2117 is a misleading initiative that will do nothing to reduce costs for Washington families. It would encourage more pollution, cut protections for clean air and water, and devastate funding for transportation and safe routes to schools. We need to protect the Climate Commitment Act, which has already funded $120 million worth of programs in Spokane County. Learn more at No2117.com.
Rally and Canvass for No on 2117 with Governor Inslee right here in Spokane, Sunday, October 13, 2024. More info
I-2124
Don’t increase care costs and hurt women
I-2124 would eliminate Washington’s long-term care insurance program for 3.9 million people, causing more people, mostly women, to leave their jobs to provide unpaid care. And it would increase our out of pocket costs and throw us back into the expensive private insurance market. Learn more at No on I-2024
I-2066
Stop higher energy bills
I-2066 would attack energy efficiency by repealing common sense protections, leaving us with higher energy costs and making our communities more vulnerable during storms, wildfires, and deadly heat waves. Learn more at Climate Solutions.org
