On Presidents Day — or Residents Day! — two consecutive demonstrations will occur in Spokane. We Are Spokane/ We Are Sp'q'n'i Rally+March, and March for Freedom (Protect+Defend) (or “Not My President” March.
Event #1, from 12-2 pm at the Red Wagon (corner of Stevens/Washington and W. Spokane Falls Blvd) is organized by a consortium of local groups listed on the flyer linked below. Dress warmly, bring signs, meet other like-minded frustrated people, and help make our voices heard. This demonstration is expected to last until around 2 PM. Event #2 from 3-5 pm Beginning at the corner of Garland and Division in B.A. Clark Park is a second gathering—and another use for the same signs. There will be some short speeches followed by a sidewalk March up one side then down the other side of Division St. on the sidewalk. The more signs and the more people the better.
