Caucus Time – March 26th

What an exciting time it is!  It’s Bernie time!  It’s Hillary Time! We are so fortunate to have two highly qualified candidates to be the next President of the United States.  Just look at the craziness with the Republicans.  In Washington State, the Democrats pick all their delegates to the National Convention and make all the decisions about who our nominee will be through the Caucus Process.  The Republicans do it differently and the Iowa Caucus you may have followed had some different rules.

Here are some basic things you need to know:

  1. Your caucus will begin, Saturday March 26th at 10:00 AM.  If you arrive later than 10:30, your vote for President can’t be counted.
  2. Your Caucus Location:  The State Party is in final testing of an online tool that will help you locate your Caucus.  A link will be on our website, Facebook page and at in a few days.  Right now you can go to State Party site and click that you will attend your 2016 Caucus.
  3. The Spokane County Democrats will coordinate Caucus Information and Training Workshops to help everyone to be prepared.  We will post these.  You can send your name, address, and phone to and asked to be put on our “Caucus Information” list.  We will get back to you with everything you need to know.  You can also call 509-324-8525.
  4. If there is NO WAY you can attend your precinct caucus on March 26th, there are some situations where you can still cast your Presidential Preference vote.  Please contact us and we will help you with this.

The contest between Hillary and Bernie is going down to the wire.  Be part of the decision.  Be a Caucus-goer!  Together we can still have a strong Democrat in the White House this time next year.  It is fun to see the excitement build and for people of all ages and background to step forward and get involved.  I hope to see record crowds on March 26th.
