Spokane County Democratic Candidates

Hello. My name is Clyde Cordero, and I am a candidate for Congress in the 5th Congressional District. My wife Julie and I live in Spokane Valley with our two young daughters, Skye, age nine, and Carmen, age four. Julie and I have been married for over thirteen years. We chose to put down roots and raise our family here in her hometown because we love the rivers, lakes and mountains that make this such a beautiful place to live.

http://www.votebonniemager.com/
The community has been Bonnie’s special interest for over 20 years. Whether tutoring grade school children in reading or working on quality of life issues as the director of Citizens for Clean Air, Eastern Washington Coordinator for the WEC or as the co-founder and Executive Director of the Neighborhood Alliance of Spokane, Bonnie has spent her life giving back to our community.
Her life’s work has given her first hand experience with county and city issues related to public safety, education, transportation, land-use, health, agriculture and environment. Her service on many boards and steering committees, both locally and throughout the state, has provided her with the institutional knowledge necessary to hit the ground running ever since her election in 2006.
As a participant and graduate of the WSU Holistic Management Project, Bonnie worked with ranchers, farmers and state and federal agencies to solve difficult problems. As Executive Director of the Neighborhood Alliance she worked with developers, neighborhoods, business groups and government agencies to improve relationships and our community.
Bonnie has proven she knows how to bring diverse groups together---and her decision-making table is always big enough for everyone.

Working to Help our Economy Recover "My top priority is growing our economy and creating jobs. I know that Washington state workers and families are losing their jobs and homes through no fault of their own. And I know what it’s like. My own family fell on hard times when my father got sick and could no longer work and my mom had to support seven children. But we had a government that valued our potential and was there to help us get back on our feet." -- Senator Patty Murray
