About Kate Burke
Kate Burke is a community activist and a Spokane native. She has traveled and lived all over the States as a volunteer for several organizations. These experiences opened her eyes to the devastating effects that poverty, hunger, and a lack of human justice can have on a community.
Through her dedicated advocacy of our most vulnerable, Kate has established herself as a community leader. She is the founder and president of the Spokane Edible Tree Project (SETP), Serves on the board for Project Hope, and has served three sessions as a legislative assistant to State Senator Andy Billig.
Spokane is Kate’s big, little city and she is dedicated to improving and developing our great community.
